  1. 3 months of income? So 12k cash? Get real!

  2. Yaron Cesana says:

Love your video! Would like to recommend Juliet & Oliver jewelry website for unique engagement rings.

  3. Lol this lady has a great personality! Your entertaining miss ;-D

  4. Anything over $2000 max for an engagement ring AND wedding band is a terrible investment. $2000 is pushing it.

  5. Rafael P says:

Lol this girl telling what kind of engagement ring men should buy, is the same like me making a video saying saying how women should cook and clean the house after marriage. You are so degrading yourself here…

5 C's (Most to least important)

    And….diamonds are extremely over-rated!

  7. but the thing about certified gemologists they know diamonds are not worth much my future father in law worked in the New York diamond district for 10 years so there is nothing wrong with looking at different stones too

  8. Sean Haskell says:

2 to 3 months of your income ha ha Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha what a fucking joke.. You make under 80 grand do not spend a nickel over 2500.. Three months salary?? $20,000 that's fucking sick that's close to a down payment on a small house

  9. Kelsey Cate says:

See I didn't want him to spend a lot of money on my ring and I kind of settled on something I didn't love, but he did and it was in a budget I was comfortable with. He was willing to blow his whole savings account on it and I was like no more than $1200 because that's all we can afford. Fast forward two years I got sick two months after he proposed so we couldn't get married or I would be off my parents health care plan(ends at 26, and we've been together since we were 15)…..and now I'm thinking I just want a nice simple solitaire ring. Since mine keeps falling apart. How do I ask him to let me buy it? Probably won't do it for another year, but still.

  10. Wow, I knew you were his daughter because I recognized your smile and of course your financial smarts.

  11. Brace yourself comments by douchebags are coming. look you don't have to get her a ring, you don't have to spend a crazy amount, this is only a suggestion to those who do want to get a ring for their partner. And girls getting engagement rings for their fellas is also becoming quite popular. Let's try to have an open mind about this and not just make it a guy buying for a girl. No matter your sexual orientation, if you want to propose and are pretty sure they would want a ring go for it. Guys can have engagement rings too if they want.

  12. PRECISE, KNOWLEDGEABLE, FUNNY, & AWESOME VIDEO. Mahalo's & God Bless… Gil Kiaha

  13. Justin says:

$12,000 for a ring screw that buy her a gold band with a well cut piece of glass in it she will never know and it will cost you max $500 then spend the money on something worth it like a vacation or honeymoon cmon don't waste your hard earned cash on something she can't tell and a piece of worthless compressed carbon

  14. Money is money. It comes and goes. Be happy, but what you want and live it to the fullest and enjoy your loved one because once they are gone that's it.

  15. Sunny Day says:

My ring is a 14 kt band. 2 to3 months salary is absurd!

  16. welshhibby says:

2 to 3 months ?!!!! If the woman wants a ring that expensive she can buy it. #notamug

  17. BlocksAndAll says:

This hard my girls in the navy

  18. Rachel, you are awesome! You are so entertaining (and informative too but really entertaining!)

  19. No more than a month's income** that's what it should be

  20. You are a rude person who cares if she wants a bigger ring why would a man worry you are a sick person.

  21. Nancy Drew says:

forget the diamond. Just get a plain gold band.

  22. check this lovely ring out its very cheap, its also my pals new ebay store so if you can support him it would be much appreciated please check out his other items too thankshttp://http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/262617657364?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

  23. Yeah I financed mine. It's like 4 months of my income.

  24. dont spend that kind of money on engagement rings. They are a scam. The diamond engagement rings are not worth anything near the amount you paid for. google "diamond engagement scam". Better to use that money on something worth it like a car, or a magical vacation. but not a ring. its a daym rock!! dont spend thousands, you wont regret it.

  25. I need to buy an engagement ring thats the reason why i visit youtube.. actualy i have no idea about engagement ring. everytime i see an engagement ring the color is always white? i was about to buy last week it was goodlooking ring good thing i didnt buy it. i want to buy gold, do I realy need to buy silver color for engagement?

  26. You look so beautiful in this video! I love the jewelry and colors you're wearing! 🙂 – A u r o r a

  27. Diamonds are a De Beers scam. Although due to societal pressures there's a good chance I'll end up buying one sadly. 2-3 months income, ah no no no. 1 month is much more reasonable. I'll buy my own certified diamond after doing my homework (you're spot on with the 4 C's), then I'll approach a small jeweler to set it to whatever design I come up with. I really wish society could move away from this diamond scam nonsense though…

  28. josh lampman says:

Your Dad suggests one-months income for an engagement ring. Do you both agree on that? lol. I see this video is a couple of years old.

  29. One tip is to never go to a brick and mortar shop unless you are buying a vintage piece, or just to look at styles and sizes. then go online to James Allen or Blue Nile to get the diamond and setting. Save yourself the massive markup costs, have a selection that is almost endless, typical 30 day money back guarantees, totally insured shipping by the seller, and the benefits go on from there.
