  1. what to know before buying an engagement ring: the price of diamonds is artificially inflated, also, diamond engagement rings were made popular during the great depression when the few companies dealing with diamond extraction saw a decrease in sales. what was considered high luxury was marketed to everyday people to make them want to buy diamonds.

  3. of the 4c's 'cut' does not refer to the diamonds shape! This video is nonsense. A diamond's cut is really about how well a diamond's facets interact with light.

  4. "Cut" is not the diamond shape! Jesus when will people making these "educational videos" ever learn? Cut is the proportion of the facetes in which gives the stone its fire aka bing or sparkle. Poor cut = poor fire, ideal cut = amazing fire. The shape is the just called the shape.
